Exten­si­ve main­ten­an­ce work on April 13, 2024

The secur­Ph­arm sys­tem has been in use for over five years and pro­ces­ses more than 12 mil­li­on tran­sac­tions a day con­ti­nuous­ly, quick­ly and relia­bly. To ensu­re this con­ti­nues in the future, the sys­tem will be ser­viced on April 13, 2024 from 8 p.m. for approx. 20 hours and a new future-pro­of data­ba­se model will be rol­led out. During this time, the secur­Ph­arm sys­tem will not be available, as the data­ba­se may not be chan­ged by new tran­sac­tions for the dura­ti­on of this mea­su­re. During this time, the veri­fy­ing enti­ties (phar­maci­es, who­le­sa­lers, etc.) will recei­ve the feed­back SP-901, which indi­ca­tes to their soft­ware that the secur­Ph­arm sys­tem can­not curr­ent­ly be used. In this case, the usu­al recom­men­da­ti­ons for action app­ly (e.g. the ABDA, FAQ ques­ti­on 3.39). What are the reasons for the high demands on the data­ba­se? For each tran­sac­tion, at least one pack data record is sear­ched for in the sys­tem, iden­ti­fied and, if neces­sa­ry, its sta­tus is chan­ged - all this usual­ly takes less than 35 mil­li­se­conds for veri­fy­ing aut­ho­ri­ties. As every tran­sac­tion is stored in the sys­tem, the data­ba­se is huge, with more than five bil­li­on seri­al num­bers.
