From May 19, 2025, all authorities that already have access to the securPharm system will have access to an additional module: the National Alert Management System (NAMS).
Many system actions can be tracked with the help of so-called authority reports, but this is not possible in all cases. Especially in the case of recognized false alarms, alarm processing can be an important piece of the puzzle that contributes to clarification. The NAMS is used so that those affected by an alarm can view further details about an alarm and evaluate it. In doing so, it offers the possibility for the stakeholders concerned to exchange information with each other, whereby the anonymity of the verifying body, e.g. a public pharmacy or pharmaceutical wholesaler, is preserved by the system and disclosure is only made on a voluntary basis and on a case-by-case basis.
The use of NAMS is voluntary for both the pharmaceutical companies and the verifying bodies. Nevertheless: Even if there is no legal obligation, the use of securPharm is strongly recommended. By processing the alarm, every user makes an additional contribution to safety.
The provision of alarms for the authorities is the next logical step after the clarification of the non-existent stabilization phase in Germany (see LINK).
The authorities will therefore receive read-only access to the alarms in the securPharm system from 19 May 2025.
