Natio­na­le Orga­ni­sa­ti­on (NMVO)

secur­Ph­arm e.V. is the Ger­man orga­ni­sa­ti­on for the authen­ti­ca­ti­on of phar­maceu­ti­cals. The legal foun­da­ti­on for the work of secur­Ph­arm is the EU Fal­si­fied Medi­ci­nes Direc­ti­ve 2011/62/EU as well as the Dele­ga­ted Regu­la­ti­on (EU) No. 2016/161 pur­su­ant to which each pre­scrip­ti­on drug will have to be sub­jec­ted to an authen­ti­ca­ti­on befo­re being dis­pen­sed to the pati­ent sin­ce 9 Febru­ary 2019.

secur­Ph­arm builds the sys­tem for the authen­ti­ca­ti­on of phar­maceu­ti­cals in Ger­ma­ny. Authen­ti­ca­ti­on is per­for­med based on a safe­ty fea­ture on the phar­maceu­ti­cal pack­a­ging. This sys­tem is an important con­tri­bu­ti­on to pro­tec­ting pati­ents from fal­si­fied medi­ci­nes in the legal sup­p­ly chain. secur­Ph­arm is the Ger­man com­po­nent in the EU-wide net­work against fal­si­fied phar­maceu­ti­cals.
